After a late night with the fireworks and festivities, we decided to take a slow morning. We had breakfast here at the hotel – gotta love Trix and Mini Wheats! We decided we would head to Fenway Park to get a tour on a game day. But on our way we had some other adventures…
We took the water taxi over to Long Wharf near the aquarium. Outside the aquarium there is a tank with seals. It is amusing to watch them.
It was another very hot day. Timothy was really interesting in getting wet so we found this great spot to cool off!
Then it was off to Fenway Park! We were able to get tickets to the batting practice tour. Met a couple guys who were from Cape Breton. It was actually Nova Scotia day at Fenway. The batting tour was really neat. The park was cool too. It seemed a bit smaller than we anticipated from tv, but amazing to be there. We got to see the Red Sox warming up and even saw a couple of the Blue Jays on the field too. We heard lots of history of the park and mets tons of Red Sox fans. Timothy was a divided fan wearing his Blue Jays shirt and his Red Sox hat. We watched some of the game on tv when we got back to the hotel. The Red Sox won, but the Jays got a couple runs near the end.
